Natural Cosmetics Line For Ethnic Women

B.l.a.c. minerals has launched a natural cosmetics line for women of color and ethnic backgrounds. With this launch, B.l.a.c. minerals has sought to address the needs of ethnic women, and the problems they often face when shopping for cosmetics that are suitable for their skin tones. B.l.a.c. minerals produces mineral foundations in an array of colors that are based on true undertones of the skin. For oily skin, they offer Oil Stones; made of ground clay, this product naturally helps to absorb excess oils in the skin.

They also offer a selection of satin finish blushes, rich pigment eyeshadows, and an ultra moisturizing lip-gloss that’s infused with shea butter. All shades and textures are made to compliment the skin tones of ethnic women / women of color.

According to B.l.a.c. minerals, their makeup is made with the best ingredients, and do not contain any unnecessary chemicals and fillers such as bismuth oxychloride, chemical dyes, talc, and parabens.

Smokey Eyes Makeup Tip

Here’s your Smokey Eyes Makeup Tip update. Want to know how to get that perfect ‘Smokey’ eye effect with your makeup? If you don’t know how to do it, we’ll tell you how.

Goal
In order to create the perfect ‘Smokey’ eyes, your goal is to make the lid area dark, and highlight the brow area. This will draw instant attention to your eyes. Obviously, you can’t use light colors in order to create this effect, you must use dark shade colors. Note too, it’s not entirely about the darkness of the color, but more about the “drama” in how you make it look.

Tools Needed
Medium gray eye shadow, dark eye shadow, black mascara, black eyeliner, and base eye shadow.

Steps

  1. Apply your eyeliner
  2. Apply the main eye shadow on the whole eyelid. Be sure to blend it
  3. Take your medium color eye shadow and apply it to the eyelid as well
  4. Apply your black mascara. Be sure to use three coats.

Presto, that’s it. Visual aides will be added to this post soon. The most important smokey eyes makeup tip to remember is “blending” factor. You have to keep blending and experiment in order to achieve the perfect sexy smokey eyes effect.

Geisha makeup is back

For centuries, elite Japanese entertainers were famous for their heavy white makeup, bright red lipstick, hair dressed in complex traditional knots, and ornate kimonos - Geishas, or Geiko Sans. Now, a cosmetics company (Isehan Honten) is reviving the traditional lip coloring that’s used by Geishas. They’re seeking to introduce it to a whole new generation of Japanese women for everyday use. If you’re currently in Japan or planning to visit there soon, look out for it in stores.
