Moving This Year?

Are you on the hunt for a good moving company aka Budget van lines? My sister-in-law recently moved from North Carolina to Tennessee, and used a wicked cool website – zmoving.com – to find the best-cost of all the moving companies in her area of North Carolina. Through them, you can get a moving quote from any or all of the moving companies in your area, thus saving you lots of time, research and effort.

They offer extensive town-by-town, city-by-city and state-by-state listings of budget van lines and you can submit directly online to get multiple moving quotes from qualified movers in your area. 11.9 percent (or 35.2 million) Americans moved to a new home in 2008. If you’re on the move in 2009, you’ll know that every buck counts, so get some cost-effective quotes before you make the move – get a moving quote today!

Summer Beauty Must-Haves For Every Woman

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to look great. Here are some beauty must-haves for every woman / girl … and you don’t need to spend a lot of money!

- To look nice and fresh all day, a super-natural cheek color is definitely a good choice.

- A good foundation that can be used for light to medium coverage is a must. Remember that foundation can be used as a concealer as well.

- You must have mascara and eyeliner – to add a little drama.

- A nice gloss that can be worn with anything is another must-have.

- A bronzer (for those with fair to medium skin tones) is definitely another good thing to have on hand.

Stay beautiful!

Natural Hues Are In For Summer 2009

Summer’s almost here and natural hues are the trend this year. Colors are ‘in’ this spring, and for sure it’s the perfect time to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

So listen up – shades of violet and blue will match those who are fair skinned, while medium tones are perfect for those in the bronze family. Trying a different color eyeliner (such as metallic bronze) can make the eyes stand out. Darker tones need to play with deep or lighter greens in order to make the skin glow.

The timeless “natural look” will always be around, especially during the summer heat. A nude lip color or a gel-based “girlie” color will help compliment a natural appearance. The “smokey eye”, another classic look, can be achieved without using black shadow – just use violets or greens.
Go easy on the foundation, and only apply it where you need it. If you really want to be more natural, try not wearing eyeliner, and instead just wear mascara.

Naturally also, skin care is very important, especially during the summer. A sunscreen of SPF-15 or a moisturizer with sunscreen is a must-have.Try to drinkwater regularly, and also try to find a good skin care product that has fruit or certain food extracts in it that can help to maintain healthy skin. Oily skin is a problem because of the humidity, so carrying around oil-trapping face sheets can help prevent breakouts and keep your skin looking great.

That’s all for now. Rock your natural hues this summer in order to look fab! Stay beautiful …

What New Furniture For The Summer?

Earlier this year, I came across Concept Furniture and basically went wild because I was redesigning our living room, but we don’t live in a big city so the living room furniture options at our local furniture stores were just not at all enticing. Through Concept Furniture, I got some cool / modern living room furniture options, and while I was at it I also bought a few items from their bedroom furniture collection as well.

But now I’m in redesign and decorate mode once again, and wondering what I should improve for the upcoming Summer. Should I re-do the kitchen completely? Or, should I be focusing instead on our deck / barbecue area? Decisions, decisions, decisions, I’ll make up my mind (after consulting with Hubby of course) by next week, but for now I’m going to do another post in a minute that talks about makeup – specifically about natural hues being ‘IN’ for Summer 2009. Check it out in a sec.

Estee Lauder Feels The Economic Pinch

The Estee Lauder Companies yesterday posted diluted earnings per share (EPS) of USD0.14 for its fiscal third quarter ended March 31, 2009 (down 69.8% YOY). The company cited the current economic environment which continues to depress consumer spending – and as a result, Estee Lauder’s bottom line. Unfortunately for Estee Lauder, in an economic environment like the current one, its high-end cosmetics are exactly the type of product that consumers are now likely to substitute with cheaper versions, or forego altogether.
