Luminescent Colourless Colour Intelligence
There’s a new, limited edition spring makeup collection called LUCI (Luminescent Colourless Colour Intelligence). The properties of light, colour and beauty and how they may intertwine, are the premise behind the design of this new makeup collection.
Although the color of pure natural sunlight is technically considered to be white, within it there are both cool and warm color rays, as you can see in rainbows, and/or when light rays are refracted through prisms. Bringing such light to the face via makeup translates into a range of eye and lip products that are divided into warm and cool tones. They may appear brightly colored in the container, but are tempered by translucent and pearlescent finishes.
In creating the LUCI collection, four key colors were used – warm apricot, pink, cool mauve and green. A pigment-free, opalescent white is another important component of the line and is the secondary shade in the line’s three eye shadow compact duos, as well as in a loose face powder called Photonic illuminating powder.
The colours generally appear pastel and iridescent on pale skin tones, and may appear more vibrant on darker skin tones.

Benefits of Mineral Makeup
Mineral makeup has definitely taken the world by storm. While it has been around for over 30 years, mineral makeup has re-emerged in recent times as a new and important aspect of a global beauty culture that’s dedicated to better living. What makes mineral makeup different from other types of makeup? Well, unlike most of these traditional makeup products, mineral makeup is based on a hypo-allergenic loose powder that naturally nourishes the skin, and contains no alcohol, dyes, perfumes, talc, mineral oil or preservatives.
Here are some of the obvious benefits of mineral makeup:
- It’s good for sensitive skin. Many women are affected by acne, allergies, dryness and even clogged pores that are caused by more traditional makeup. Mineral makeup products are less likely to clog your pores and definitely allow your skin to breathe. Since most mineral makeup products don’t contain oil, it’s the perfect solution for women with oily skin. It’s good for acne-prone skin, because the minerals are inert, therefore they don’t support bacteria growth.
- They tend to feel ‘light’ on your face. Many women claim that wearing mineral makeup feels like you’re not even wearing any makeup. It’s a beautiful thing when your makeup doesn’t feel like a mask!
- They are weather-friendly, i.e. the minerals are usually water-resistant, and reflect sunlight, thus helping to create an overall healthy glow. Mineral makeup products are also said to contain a natural protection against harmful UV rays.
- They have multiple uses. Mineral foundations and powders typically have more than one use. In one easy application, you may get the coverage of a foundation, concealer and sunscreen.

Press-On Eye Shadow Kits
It’s new, it’s innovative and it’s fundamentally changing the way that consumers use and apply eye shadow. Applying traditional eye shadow properly requires considerable skill, time and expertise with brushes, sponges or other applicators. Matching colors can also be tricky, and eye shadow cakes are oft prone to crumbling and spilling, leaving consumers with the potential for a mess. colorOn and Eye Majic however have developed new press-on eye shadow kits, allowing regular people to be able to instantly apply professionally created eye-shadow designs without applicators or mess.
Each single-use press-on eye shadow kit is applied to the eyelid using a prepared strip that contains a variety of matched and blended colours. Pressing the strip to the eyelid transfers the colours onto the eyelid in just the right shades, creating a look much like one that a professional make-up artist might have created. Presto!
