MAC Cosmetics has collaborated with designer Esteban Cortazar of Emanuel Ungaro to launch a limited edition makeup collection, called MAC Emanuel Ungaro. The collection was inspired by the Ungaro fashion house’s fall runway looks and will comprise between eight and twelve products.

Canadian model, Daria Werbowy, has launched her own makeup collection, the Daria Collection for Lancôme. It was officially launched on May 21st and is limited edition, being sold exclusively on Sephora.com and at the NorthPark Center Lancome Boutique in Texas.
The new makeup line was created partially to support the Centro Espacial Vik Muniz education program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Part proceeds from the sale of the makeup will be donated to the art education program aimed at young people.

Beware of emails that have been “making the rounds”, claiming that you can buy some Nordstrom makeup for a dollar. The email says Nordstorm has bought the makeup brand E.L.F. (Eyes, Lips, Face) and claims that as part of the switchover, you can now by E.L.F. Makeup for just one dollar. Nordstrom has confirmed that the email is in fact a hoax. In reality, E.L.F. is an inexpensive makeup brand that has always run one dollar promotions.

M.A.C Cosmetics is the official Makeup Sponsor of the 9th annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend, which takes place in Bangkok, Thailand from June 6 - 8. This is the 9th consecutive year that M.A.C has supported the International India Film Academy Awards weekend.
As the makeup sponsor, M.A.C will provide over 20 makeup artists to create exclusive backstage make up for over 35 performers and 40 presenters at the IIFA Award ceremony that’s scheduled to be held at Siam Niramit on June 8. M.A.C artists will also be on-hand for touch-ups to the presenters and award winners throughout the ceremony, and will also offer private makeup appointments to key celebrities in an exclusive M.A.C VIP Lounge. M.A.C will also be backstage at the IIFA charity event Fashion Show on June 7. M.A.C’s team of professional makeup artists will be led by Dubai-based M.A.C Senior Artist, Vimi Joshi, who has a long list of Award show credentials.
M.A.C’s sponsorship of leading award shows and film festivals is extensive and includes: The World Music Awards (Toronto); the International Film Festival (Dubai); the International Film Festival, MTV Europe Awards; The Academy Awards; Sundance Film Festival; The Pusan Film Festival (Korea); The Golden Horse Awards (Taiwan), and many others.
