Dolce & Gabbana Makeup Coming in April
Dolce & Gabbana, the 23-year-old design house that’s more known for tight-fitting clothes and racy advertising will be unveiling their new line of makeup (a multi-million dollar collaboration with Procter & Gamble Co.) in the U.S. next month. We’ve already heard talk of their lipstick being in the $30 price range (i.e. higher even than Chanel and Dior) and their other cosmetics being quite pricey (as is the case with their fashion line).
With the country and the world at large seemingly in the midst of a deepening recession, it will be interesting to see what the demand will be like for these new pricey products. Dolce and Gabbana reportedly said that launching a makeup line has been a dream of theirs for more than a decade. I wish them luck, and look forward to at least being able to sample some of their cosmetics when launched.
